Water Park

So our church made its annual trip to the water park last Friday night. I had been in LR all week for workshops (whoohoo), stopped by to get the Lackeys, headed to pick up my boys, swallowed hotdogs whole (ha), and off we went!! Gus and Cuppy had a blast!! They were both fearless of the water. Zeke on the other hand was scared he would get water in his ears (he has tubes). But after some convincing, he got in and had just as much fun!

The Tent

I remember my brothers and I building tents out of quilts when we were kids. Gus and Bo now like to do it! If I raise the blanket up Gus yells "Shut da door, Momma!" If he does want me in I have to ring the doorbell first!

What an awesome week we had July 13-17!! This was the first Vacation Bible School our church has had in like 30 years. Melissa, Carrie Jo and myself got together maybe 3 months ago and decided to put this thing together. Not knowing what we were doing for anything, God must have been clued in on that and decided to put in some overtime!!! (: Because it turned out to be GREAT! We had so many compliments last night at the program. We had between 29 and 37 people each night. (37 for 2 nights!) Not only was it ALOT of fun, but it was spiritually rewarding as well. Kids went away from there with new songs to sing, new knowledge about how awesome our Lord is and the things he can do for us and hopefully they gained a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

I have to give a shout out to my BFF's Carrie Jo and Melissa --- I LOVE the green wristband!!! But how come it is so dirty?? (: (: (:

First Camping Trip

So Barry and I both decided it would be a good family vacation to take the boys camping one weekend. Barry's dad has a camper that he let us use for this "vacation". Yes I type the word vacation with quotation marks because when I think of vacations I think of relaxing. Well as the title says this was our FIRST. I didn't realize how much work goes into camping!! Overall though we had a great time. We went my brother and his family...Todd, Shanna, Kason and Karter. All the boys played good together until the last night...then it was a "each man for himself" type playing. Bo couldn't have been a better baby!!! He was fine being held, fine in his play pen, fine in the camper, fine in the water...whatever...didn't matter to him!

Each night Gus would say "Go to Gus' house?" He's more of a homebody. When we left Sunday morning, Bo was babbling "byebyebyebye" and Gus was like "Yeah, Bo we go byebye to Gus' house!" It was so cute!

Nic was holding Bo (or "Cephus" as Nic calls him) while we're sitting around talking. I look over and see Bo going to town on this pork chop!! Noone knew he had gotten it but he LOVED it!!

First Day of Daycare

As you can see from the picture Gus wasn't too excited and Bo was wondering what the big deal was! I'm glad, however, that Gus had his meltdown at home at not at daycare. We arrived at 9:00. As I was sitting Bo down, Gus said he wanted to go play in the house. (She has a Little Tikes house in the play room.) When he went over there I went out the door. Mrs. Nina said he never cried...until 2:00! He pee-peed on himself and I guess got upset about that. She didn't find the extra pair of underwear I sent so she put a pullup on him. The whole way home he kept saying "Biper off! Biper off! I need my wunderwear!"
When she asked him if he wanted to take a nap he said no he wanted to ride the pony. So she took him outside to ride the carousel. He never went to sleep until about 4 this evening when he crashed until after 7!! Of course laid back Bo wasn't phased by the new experience at all!!!

So Gus decided he likes to drive after all. He figured out how to turn but he won't go anywhere but round and round his play gym.

Bo had his last bath in the infant tub this week...or did he? He took a bath in the sink tonight but before we finished me, the counter, and the floor were soaked. Gus also thought he had to take a sink bath next to Bo. He wouldn't sit down though so that was a little difficult. Maybe we'll just go straight to the big bathtub.

6 months old - the 30th or the 1st?!?!

So today was Bodee's first ever 4th of July! We started it off by working in the flower beds. Barry and Gus went to Amity and got a trailer load of mulch yesterday. We finished planting this morning and Barry finished the mulch around 3:00. HOT HOT day. Well to me anyway. Not as bad as it has been the past couple weeks. Then we headed out to Breanna's 8th Birthday party/cookout at Damon and Anita's. They had the whole backyard decked out in red, white and blue, they rented a bounce house, of course had their big swimming pool as well as a little one set up for the kids. The kids ran from pool to bounce house and back all night long. We took Zeke with us. He and Gus stayed in the jump room the entire evening!! Zeke didn't even come out to eat! Gus was fascinated with the stairs on the deck and then we went inside the house...WOW...he was amazed with the stairs inside even more!! We pigged out on hamburgers, hotdogs, birthday cake and homemade ice cream. There were so many people there I can't even begin to name them. Fireworks started at 9. Gus HATED them!! Papaw (my dad) had to take him across the road to their house. Bo woke up, was amazed by them for a while and then he hated them, also. So across the road Barry went with Bo. Zeke watched the fireworks with me for a while and then with my mom the rest of the time. He loved them enough for all 3 of the boys!! It was a great night and a great way to kick off the rest of Bo's 4ths!!!! God Bless America!
